Reviews for ‘Doorway of Death’

Reyna is a heroine to relish – strong, bold, sometimes uncompromising – and her story, in all its multitude of layers, is also a delight. Leena Taylor is a natural storyteller, and these are books to curl up with and enjoy – strongly recommended.

This is a beautifully written tale, full of depth, and one which I thoroughly enjoyed reading.
We join Reyna, a middle-aged grandmother, on her unexpected journey to other worlds. We are right with her as she discovers her gifts and learns how to use them, with the outcome not always as she expects. The book contains great characterisations, romance, humour and some wonderful descriptions such as this one ‘his heels getting reacquainted with the tap-dance they had learnt earlier’, to describe someone pinned against a wall for the second time by an unseen force…and he was one of the good guys!

I adored this book! I have never read a book like this amazing story before. There is much love, mystery and magical moments. I cried many times with the characters, like I was there. I loved the way it was written. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book. I’m already missing the characters.

If you like fantasy where the everyday and extraordinary are woven into magical threads, where the warp and weft are formed through the stumblings and uncertainties of characters that encompass grandmothers to young children, eccentric professors and ancient hippies, plus a diverse range of ethnic groups from this planet and others, then The Thousandth Way Chronicles will enliven your day and inspire your dreams.
Enjoy exploring this site and the extra information it hold about the characters and books that make up the Chronicles.
